I live in the States, and I don't watch the show formally known to me as Stargate SG-1. I have no intention of watching it. It is not Stargate SG-1 anymore, so why would I? Whatever this is, it's a ghost in my television that haunts me every Friday night.
For the past four Fridays since the beginning of Season 6, I have solemnly acknowledged the time this shell of a formerly-great show airs, gaze longingly at my darkened TV, and grieve. But I made a promise to TPTB when I started writing letters and calling MGM that I would not watch — that I was through with Stargate SG-1 without the original team intact.
I've kept my promise. All or nothing. If I can't have it all, I want nothing.
My boycott has two purposes: 1) to discourage any possible rise in ratings that my humble viewings might generate, and 2) to save me from misery. If I were to witness the feeble, contrived, and desperate attempts made by those involved in the show (via producing, writing, directing, and acting) to replace what is simply irreplaceable, it would be highly upsetting, and I won't put myself through it.
I miss my show. I miss the Team. I miss it desperately. I am deeply saddened and have shed more than a few tears, but I feel there is no clearer message I could send of my disapproval than by tuning out and turning away.
I really and truly believe TPTB are getting this message (whether they do anything about it is another story.) There's too much evidence that the fan outcry has been seriously underestimated and the cages are being rattled at MGM.
The conspicuous increase in desperate and laughable attempts to discredit the SDJ campaign and anyone supporting it is met with a proportional increase in grace and dignity by SDJ campaign organizers and supporters as they remain focused on the campaign's objective and how to achieve it.
I've been paying attention to what's happening in this fandom. I've read the spoilers for the new season and stay on top of much of what is going on with the show in spite of my refusal to watch it. I've heard from people who wanted to give season 6 a chance. The independent-minded not associated with any side of this issue are consistently reporting disappointment. So I'm grateful I made the decision not to watch. The show I knew as Stargate SG-1 is now a sad parody of itself and carries not one iota of the quality it once did.
And sadly, I see TPTB piling tons and tons of manure on this thing, hoping something beautiful will grow. I see a lot of putting out of fires, scrambling to explain decisions made, the desperate "Daniel- ization" of Jonas Quinn, and frantic attempts to gain a foothold back into fandom by marketing to a "fresh" audience.
They do so, because they know full well they've lost the respect and trust of a formidable number of valuable, long-time fans — a number they are only now beginning to recognize as, in fact, a rather vocal MAJority.
Oh, they get it, all right. They just can't sell it. And they know it.
My two cents.

I'm sorry , no i'm not sorry, you may be the one who need to apologize to ALL the person that are tired like me of this stupid-no-were-in-the-magnific-serie-that-could-be-stargate and you're poor writter with no immagination. If you don't find new, just ask to listener of your serie to find new ideas, if this is what you need. or, go find your immagination in the FIRST episodes of Stargate!!!
I'll tell another things to restart Stargate: get off the snake in the head of Jack, shoot this poor Jonas, AND GET BACK DANIEL in same time to get back the integrity of the team.

Like many out there, I feel the family has been broken up by Daniel's "departure". If they were to replace hime with someone, the least they could do was to have the new character spend at least 3 to 4 episodes to emulate his predecessor. Then it would be more realistic and make the character more likable. Having Jonas being able to absorbed everything that Daniel spent a lifetime learning and experiencing in one episode is disrespect in its utmost form. The only solace I find in this is that he may be able to absorb the knowledge, but never the emotial ties with the knowledge and experience.
I think my dislike for Jonas is making me a die-hard Daniel fan.

Would you kindly brush the cobwebs from the big round lump of metal you've placed in storage and herd Jonas onto the ramp in front of it?
As a platinum tsunami punches through the circle and kerwooshes him out of his Nikes, you will be rewarded by a deafening round of applause from the six viewers still watching.
(This in no wise constitutes a death threat.)

I was willing to give it a chance without Daniel, even though I considered him pretty much un-replaceable. Even though I heartily dislike the smirking alien putz you hired to try and take Daniel's place. Even though the episodes have gotten worse and worse over the years.
I'm done now. You can take you Dumber-than-an-diot Jack, Once-upon-time-SUPER-Sam (not sure what she is now), Invisable-Teal'c, and He-Who-Is-Now-Apparently-GOD-Jonas and bury them. Along with your oh-so-desired movie and new series and franchise.
As I understand it, Michael Shanks is one of those rare breed of people: genuinely nice. He's probably very unhappy to see that a show he loved so much is puking all over itself. Me? I'm not that nice. You deserve everything you're getting right now.

I'm curious. Have you forgotten what show you're making here? Stargate. A Gateway to the Stars. Other planets, other worlds, other civilizations. So far this season we've been stuck on earth with poor scripts, poorer acting and a team filled with people who couldn't give a shit about each other.
You began to stray three years ago. We wrote to you then and expressed our worry and dismay. You ignored us. You forced Michael Shanks to make a painful and unbearable choice. You continued writing scripts that got worse and worse and you replaced Daniel Jackson with a character who is completely unredeemable. For Jonas Quinn there is no Redemption. What he did was dispicable, and all he can do is smile about it.
I'll watch Abyss, because I love the Jack and Daniel dynamic. Other than that, I've given up. I can't watch anymore, you'll have to bury yourselves without me.

It s not that I hate the management who decided to ax Michael Shanks. It s not that I feel that Richard Dean Anderson, Amanda Tapps and my favorite alien, Mr. Judge, are not up to the task of carrying on without him. I simply noticed a lack, a complete and utter sense of something missing in the episode that aired last night. For want of a better term, I will call it chemistry. This same magical ingredient that makes a couple more than friends is what made the original Four of SG1 a force to be reckoned with. Jack was the tough-guy with the soft underbelly, Sam the smart girl with the good sense to see Jack s better side, T lk (sorry, I know that s not correct but it will have to do) the straight man to any situation, and then there was Daniel, the voice of wonder and pure joy, even in the midst of sorrow. The story lines feel flat, the team feels disjointed and Jonas is too obviously a poor second choice.
If there is any way to get Michael Shanks back on the show as more than a guest, I think the show will have to do it if it wants to survive. SG1 is a cult hit, in much the same way Twin Peaks was before it. By allowing management to break up the Team, it will quickly slide into obscurity. And I, for one, would like to know how it all ends. I think that we can come up with something better than it seems to be headed for.
Give us our happy ending. Let Daniel Jackson, the man who started it all, stay until the end. The show is not the same without him.
Sincerely,
Tiffany Larson

The premise of the show (I thought) was for teams to go through that big round circle called the Stargate and have adventures exploring other planets and meeting other cultures. I've watched four episodes on SciFi and so far have only had a glimpse of it.
The team I loved is also gone. I don't even recognize these people. Jack O'Neill would agree to get a snake in his head?? Who *is* this man? He's not the Jack O'Neill I've watched since Children of the Gods. If, from what I've read, RDA just wanted some time off, surely they could have come up with a better storyline than completely assassinating his character! He won't even be *Jack* anymore! He'll be a former Tok'ra host. Don't we already have enough of those running around? In fact, don't we already have one of the team...?
Speaking of Sam Carter, where is she? And what is she? She used to be a bright-eyed, sharp military scientist who showed a bit of hero worship for her C.O. (this was before she turned into that simpering Other Sam who became Jack's 'yes person' and batted her big blue eyes at him at every opportunity.) She was given a wonderful storyline by the writers by being Tok'ra'd, and then hardly anything was done to explore her feelings or conflicts. Instead they assassinated *her* character by having her make eyes at her C.O. and turn into Super Woman.
I've lost Teal'c too. Mainly because he's hardly had anything to do for the last couple of years. You hardly know he's there. And when he is there he's dressed up in silly clothes wearing silly hats and saying silly things like a part of a comedy team. When I watch my DVD's from earlier seasons I see a man who I believed was the First Prime of Apophis; I look at him now and just feel sorry for him.
And Daniel Jackson. From what I've read here and other places they tried to assassinate his character as well but the actor wouldn't let them. (Good for you, Michael Shanks!) You can be glad you're not standing around with Teal'c in what they're now trying to pass off as Stargate. I don't think you'd recognize it. I know I don't. If Michael Shanks does come back at Daniel Jackson I'll come back to watch those episodes, but I'm through with this silly cartoon version of what used to be my favorite show.
So I've lost the premise of Stargate and I've lost the team, the real reason I watched the show. For the team that is left (I can't consider this new guy a part of the team. He repulses me in a way I can't even describe.) I don't even get the feeling they care about each other - or what they're doing - any more. The spark is gone. That wonderful feeling of 'family' is gone, and the stories are so contrived and convoluted I have no reason left to watch.
I've stopped buying it.

Why on earth did you do it? Well, I think subconsciously you are trying to prove that you don't need anything from the original movie to have a hit show so you are deconstructing all the key elements that made the movie (and the first 3 seasons) so great. You have got rid of the Egyptology, Abydos, mythology, Sha're, Skaara, Sara O'Neill, Daniel and now Jack. But those were the things that made the series great and without them it is badly written indifferently acted mediocrity indistinguishable from a hundred other shows. Budget cuts don't excuse bad writing and destroying things just for the sake of it. By trying to prove that you didn't need Devlin and Emmerich's vision because yours was better all you have done is prove how much more imaginative they were than you are. The biggest proof of this is in the Jonas Quinn character who is a poorly conceived rip-off of Daniel with none of the fascination of that character. A serial killer smile is no substitute for all that sweetness, enthusiasm, integrity, loyalty and courage that made the Daniel character the heart of the movie and the show.
Daniel Jackson and Jack O'Neill – two people from EARTH who got to travel the universe – is what this show should always have been about. For the first three years that was what it was about and it was the best show on television by a mile. Now I'm ashamed of what it's turned into and ashamed of you for being so petty and vindictive to prefer to destroy the show than admit that you were wrong about the changes you made and the writers you brought in.
I will watch The Abyss but after that I switch off for good. I am so disappointed in the lack of courage, vision, integrity, loyalty and imagination that you have shown. I can't even believe the same people are making the show now who were making it in the beginning and I feel so sorry for the actors for having to be a part of what this show is now when they used to be a part of what it is then. But the people I feel most sorry for are we, the viewers, who have supported you, bought your products, defended the show wherever it's been criticized only to have the critics proven right in the end and us proven wrong. This IS a 'cheesy science fiction show' after all and perhaps it would have been better if it had never been made at all as it is now being made like this.

Let's go back to the characters in the early series - the ones that weren't stereotypical and brought smiles and enjoyment. And please bring back our Daniel Jackson, the most indepth and important character - remember, without Daniel there is no Stargate - just a big circle that no one can work out how to use.

Not one person in my family watched SciFi channel last night from 9 to 11pm even though we did receive the email advert on our computers from SciFi about Stargate SG-1 and Farscape eps airing during that time.
Well, only 2 more weeks to Abyss! I will tape it to allow myself the freedom of choice to FF through all but the scenes with the original team and original characters, including Daniel, in them. Hopefully the "spark" of our favorite actors, playing our favorite characters, together will keep the story interesting even if the writing doesn't.
MGM, SciFi, tptb at Stargate SG-1...are you getting the hint yet??????? WE NEED OUR ORIGINAL TEAM BACK TOGETHER TO MAKE IT WORK!!!!
BTW: My family also decided not to go to see Windtalkers in the theaters as that is an MGM product as well. It was a movie that I wanted to see but I will not support MGM projects after what has occurred with Stargate SG-1.

Give us back the Jack who was a smart, shrewd leader of men, the kind of man Teal'c believed in immediately, the kind of man who befriended Daniel Jackson and took him into his home. (We'll trade in Dumb Jack and Coma Jack. Don't know him; don't wanna know him.) Give us back Sam Carter, that feisty, brilliant soldier/scientist who refused to leave Cassandra in Singularity and cried over Daniel in Holiday. (We've got one Super!Sam to return.) Give us back Teal'c, the noble warrior, the man who was First Prime to Apophis and who lives with those memories of his dark deeds. (Got one unfunny Comic Alien for trade.) Above all: Give us back Daniel Jackson. You remember him, the guy who figured out how to open the Stargate? That brilliant, compassionate, honorable man who was human enough to have flaws and played by an actor who knew how to give him a depth that made him such an important part of the series. (Got one slightly used, smiles-too-much, uncharismatic, too-perfect-to-be-true, ripped-off-version-of-Daniel-Jackson alien to return. Don't want him. One size does *not* fit all.)
I've been with this show from the beginning and have stuck with it even when I thought it was getting off course back in seasons four and five, and I stuck with it because I could still find that spark (most of time) between Jack O'Neill and Daniel Jackson. As long as we had Jack and Daniel I had hope for the show. I've lost that hope. After 'Frozen', I give up. Even the good writers on that show apparently can't write any more. I'll come back for Abyss, but until you give us back Team Stargate (see above) I'm outta here.

1) Is the stargate going to be used anytime soon? It's the large stone ring with the symbols on it. It takes people to other worlds. 2) Is Daniel coming back soon because oh man do we need him. 3) Where is the real Robert Cooper and can he come back and write great scripts again? Maybe he's too busy bitching to magazines about Michael Shanks and excluding him from his 'grateful thanks' in official Startgate Companion books? Get over it, Mr C, sometimes people point out when the writing's crap. Learn from it and improve - if you're smart. Your standard's dropped lately so maybe you needed someone pointing out the flaws all along? Michael Shanks said good things about your writing. 4) Is Jack going to wake up soon? 5) Who decided Jonas was a hot hunk? Stevie Wonder? 6) Is Jonas going to be stealing Daniel's mannerisms for the entire season? And is this cloning supposed to make him appeal to the Danny fans?
Comments:
1) Jonas smiles too much and makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. He's like a psycho killer. Seriously creepy vibes. How did he get brought onboard? Did he come free with your fav cereal? 2) Use the damn gate already! 3) Get Daniel back, his team needs him and ditch Jonas. He's worse than the Tokra bimbo. I read Hank Cowen was responsible for her. Is Jonas his baby? Lose the superpowers in fact just lose Jonas. 4) Somebody wake up Jack. Given he's the reason I'm still watching I'd like to see life signs or is it just he's boring as hell without Danny and I never noticed before? 5) Start showing the real episodes of Stargate Sg-1 instead of these fakes. 6) Stop with the focus on Jonas! He's so BORING! He can't stand up to scrutiny and the more I see him the more I wish someone would beat the crap out him until he stopped SMILING! Is he sending subliminal messages to brush and rinse?

I wouldn't mind losing Daniel quite so much if the series was merely evolving -like X-Files? hmmm - and Michael himself left the show for purely positive reasons (I can understand actors wanting to get on with other roles in their careers!) But it appears from all the media surrounding this situation that this is NOT the case and that Shanks has basically been sidelined out of SG-1 for reasons which a very large fan-base cannot comprehend (as you refuse to discuss them in open honesty) so that we have to wonder how reasonable they truly are. Certainly we, the viewers can't see any reason to get rid of this hugely popular character who has so greatly contributed to our enjoyment of the series. The success of any show rests largely on the appreciation of its fans, and by ignoring this, you are displaying an arrogant lack of due gratitude. Throughout every season of SG-1, I personally have felt that this four-strong team demonstrates a 'working formula' that is better than that of any other SF show, and the series could not do without ANY ONE of the main cast. Just so that none of you need feel jealous ;) But although I will continue to watch the series, I can't help feeling pessimistic about how much I am going to like it with a different cast dynamic. I think you've made a serious error of judgement, which time will tell. If you don't bring back Daniel Jackson - and if you sideline any of the other original actors into the bargain - you will have no excuse to be surprised at the inevitable loss of ratings. So if you want to stage your own funeral, go ahead... I think you've received enough warnings by now!

I changed channels last night 30 minutes into 'Frozen' because I was bored beyond belief and couldn't take any more of Smilin' Jonas. At that point I asked myself why I had even bothered. Thinking back to Children of the Gods I remembered how vividly those characters had been drawn and acted. At the end of the episode I was enchanted with Daniel and Jack (and I didn't think I would be because I was *huge* fan of the Jack and Daniel in the movie and I was not an RDA fan) and intrigued with both Sam and Teal'c. Why? Because these were well written and well acted characters. I didn't have to go four episodes and force myself to 'give them a chance'. They made me believe who they were and what they were, and they made me believe they cared for one another. I don't even know who Jack, Sam and Teal'c are anymore, and I don't *want* to know anything else about Smilin' Jonas.
I'll tune back in for Abyss to see MS and RDA work together again and hopefully recapture that special magic that made me a fan for five years. Please someone assure me Smilin' Jonas *isn't* in that episode? I suppose I could always tape it and fast forward through his parts. Gosh, I remember Stargate when I didn't want to fast forward through *anything*.
Of course, I remember Stargate when they actually used the Stargate...

I am very upset about Daniel Jackson (Michael Shanks) leaving the show as he is a part of the team, more than Teal'c (Christopher Judge). Daniel was the man who found the Stargate in the show so he deserves credit. He should not leave the show. The team should stay together and be a happy family. My mum and I love the show and SG-1 to have any of them leave would devastate us. I have a few ideas as to what could happen with Daniel. He comes across a set of ancient writing that brings them closer to destroying the system lords. With Daniel finding that out he gets promoted the air force way he gets more responsibilities with the team. E.g. when it comes to another culture and O'Neill thinks it would be a waste of time, Daniel gets to say if they stay or not (something like that you can think of that) Whatever you do please, please don't get rid of Daniel. I have to say this - I find Daniel very cute. Don't get rid of anyone from SG-1. I'm begging. Thank you for reading this.

Jonas isn't a bad character. And Corin isn't a bad actor. But the dynamic feels very unstable; there are a lot of things going on that look like someone isn't really sure what to do with this show. Daniel Jackson has always been my favorite character on this series, and I was astounded when I heard he was leaving; to me, at least, his personality, experiences, and knowledge formed the core of the show's energy and motivation.
Take tonight's episode, "Frozen." We have this fascinating quasi-human creature pop up, do amazing things, and die before we even find out anything concrete about her. We get this really odd theory about there having been multiple waves of human evolution, and even that is mentioned once and then dropped. The episode structure in general seemed full of false starts and zero-sum elements--this is something I've noticed through all the Season 6 episodes so far.
Plus, there are just getting to be way too many female characters on that show, with way too big a gap between them and the men. I very much appreciate the efforts at gender equalization, but it's at the point where it seems like if anything intelligent goes on, this band of women is in charge while the men stand back blinking a lot and looking impressed. If there's anything laborious to be done, the men are in charge while the women stand back looking unimpressed. It's just silly--unmilitaristic, unintegrated, awkward. It feels like flat, safe, easy writing, something that hasn't generally been a problem for this series.
I really believe this uncertainty is a result of losing the Daniel Jackson character. When he and Carter were always running around, there was this great banter between the two of them that just ignored stereotypes--not only in terms of gender, but also in the ways their friendship shaped plot elements in refreshing ways. Jonas is too nice and too new to SG-1 to have that kind of ease, so he (realistically) hasn't bonded with anyone that way, which makes plotting interesting things that involve him very difficult. The best you can do is to put him by himself at the center of things, which is what I've seen, but I'm sorry--as a longtime fan, I'm much more interested in Teal'c, O'Neill, and Carter, and it's odd to see them all shunted to the side at times.
What I would really like to see is as follows--and you can have these ideas, without any recompense; as a screenwriter, I know the legal acrobatics involved in copyright, and in this case I'd rather have the show doing well than get some measly check that my lawyer would eat right up. Bring Daniel Jackson back starting with Season 7 by having him and Jonas swap places somehow. Jackson becomes a normal, living, limited, human being, and Jonas gets to be the extraplanar spiritual whatever-he-is. He's already got this quiet, otherworldly air to him, which would fit a role shift like that perfectly. If you want to keep the actor around as a regular, maybe it can happen in such a way where he gets partially transformed, but only in minor ways. Maybe the Goa'uld interfere with the process; maybe the Tok'ra promise SG-1 necessary technology and help, but either pull out at the last minute or intentionally double-cross the team. Or all of that, I don't know.
Dr. Daniel Jackson is at the core of the Stargate concept; without him, you have a bunch of characters that are fun, but none of them are as personally invested in the project as Jackson was. And you have a bunch of pretty special effects. Neither of those are going to hold my interest very well. I miss Daniel, and what's more, I think the show as a structure misses him terribly. It's not bad, but it's not as great as it has been and can be again.
I have every faith that MGM, the Sci-Fi Channel, and the writers and producers of the show will work this transition out smoothly--and I have every hope that that solution will involve the return of Michael Shanks and his portrayal of Daniel Jackson.

Hi, i am writing this letter to say that Micheal Shanks should be involved in the Stargate SG-1 movie that they are going to make. I'd like him to be the main character in the show because that's what he deserves. Daniel Jackson should be the leading character because he is the best, and as much as i love the others Micheal Shanks is a fabulous actor! I wish he will come back to the show for good, and no matter what i wish Micheal all the best of luck with his career. I hate it that Daniel Jackson has died and even though the episode has not been screened in Australia yet, i still greive. I really wish that the directors would make Daniel the main character again and not some guy that is only there as a 'psychic guru' or whatever. This show is doomed without Daniel being a main character....and I know no-one wants it to end, so bring back Daniel....

RE: DO THE RIGHT THING - BRING DANIEL JACKSON BACK TO SG-1
One of the reasons my husband and I watch Stargate the series is the movie and it's characters that started it all.
We both were shocked to not see Daniel Jackson in the latest Stargate being shown on the Sci-Fi Channel!
If you think about it, the movie that started it all, centered around Daniel Jackson (with his thirst for knowledge and his innocence and delight in discovering new worlds, peoples and their history)- and Colonel Jack O'Neil (who's sheer bravado and why the hell not attitude) - was the glue that is the core of the Stargate team.
I don't believe there is any question that Daniel has first and foremost always been the soul and heart of the team. He and O'Neil have been through the journey together from the very beginning and should see it through together to the last espisode.
We believe you should bring Daniel Jackson back to SG-1. Jack absolutely misses him, Carter needs him to get her back in certain situations and Teal'c has a deep respect and affection for him which is clearly evident.
Go back to the beginning and look at your characters and listen to them. They were a team and can still be one.
Do The Right Thing - Daniel is sorely needed by SG-1.
Thank you.

Even though we were confused with the new season without Dr. Jackson, we do like it, but it would be good to see Dr. Jackson back.
We recognized Jonas as Jimmy from The Lonegunmen. Also noticed that Beyer's character was in frozen. Coincidence? Jonas is a likeable character, but not very believable. Dr. Jackson has more authority about him.
It is good to know that people who really care about a character are willing to save him. The X-Files never really was the same without Mulder.

I'm writing this letter so that you may know that it is a big mistake to let such a great actor go to waste on your show. Micheal Shanks is a great actor and to let him leave the show the way he did is in other words IT BITES!. I know for sure that I will quit watching the show becase he is the main HEART of the show. I know I'll look forward to seeing any episodes that feature Daniel Jackson but only those episode. I just hope that when the series finale comes that Stargate Sg-1 goes out with a bang and leaves way to a new start for all the actors.

Stargate is a fantastic program and has benn the ONLY reason I have subscrided to showtime for the last 5+years. If the Daniel Jackson character were to be written out of the program, I believe it would be drtrimental to the story, show and cause fanbase desertion. The Jackson character has been central to the story from the beginning and any removal would adversely affect my feelings on the show and the network that called for his removal.
Keep Stargate and the Jackson character alive and you will ensure this loyal viewer for years to come.

Well, ASSUMING that the script for the movie would still be a follow up to the SG-1 series with the SG-1 Cast: Richard Dean Anderson, Michael Shanks, Amanda Tapping, and Chris Judge, I think Mr. Devlin would bring the audience New and Original ideas. And since his ideas are still relatively NEW, in terms of what could be on the other side of the gate, he would bring a FRESH, UNIQUE perspective in scripts to the Stargate audience.
*cough, cough* For some reason, what I just said sounds very familiar to me and like I have heard it before.
Mmmmm, I wonder what the ***JONASS*** I could be thinking of!

The character of Daniel Jackson of the hit show Stargate SG-1 is extremely critical to the shows success. The problems facing the show are a direct result of diverging from its basic concept and the use of Michael Shanks character, Daniel Jackson.
The most exciting and interesting episodes involved Daniel Jackson tying the present time understanding of historical events with the discoveries made by the SG-1 team. It is clear to me the writers are having difficulty creating new story lines by the direction the show has taken over the last 2 seasons. The show has been reduced to a simple good guy versus bad guy scenario with very little creativity. Stargate SG-1 has gone the way of all other SCI-FI shows.
The only way to prevent this wonderful show from an untimely demise is to go back to what made it successful in the first place.
What is it that made it so successful? Discovery of new cultures, planets, societies, etc and the correlation they have to Earth and what the people of Earth understand to be historical fact or myth. Much of the show's success comes from the attempts to explain our own history through what the SG-1 team discovers.
I have rambled enough about what needs to be done, but mark my words, "If Stargate SG-1 does not get back to what made it successful via Daniel Jackson's character and his role as part of the SG-1 team, the show will not see a season 7".
This is not a simple prediction, but a guarantee because without Daniel Jackson and what his character brings to the show, Stargate SG-1 does not offer anything substantially different or better than other SCI-FI shows like "Andromeda".
I know what you're thinking, "Yeah, right. I have heard this before from a fan". That may be true and I could be wrong. However, I watch far more TV than the average person and I would be a director today if I had my way.
So I hope you at least listen to what I have to say because from what I have seen lately, the writing is on the wall. Can you see it? I hope I'm wrong, but without the Daniel Jackson character, I'm afraid Stargate SG-1 will have lost everything worth watching. Remember, Daniel Jackson discovers how the gate works?

I have over 500 cable channels and there is only a handful of programs good enough to watch and Stargate is one of them. Taking Daniel Jackson out of Stargate is like taking Mr. Spock out of Star Trek. The creaters of Stargate have a good thing going don't change it.

I have been a fan of SG1 since the first episode. Not because it was a silly show but because of the interaction of the characters in the FAMILY of the team. Without Daniel Jackson this show is still good by certain standards, the inteligence of the content and the dream of the future and being explorers of the infinite. Now the show seems so finite. The chemistry is gone because the chemistry was the interaction of the FOUR members of a very special family thrown together by circumstance and each week, getting to know each other as a person. Daniel Jackson is needed to have the chemistry for the show to continue forever.
Without him, there is a very finite boredom that simply will not go away. Changing characters in MASH worked because of the replacement character. This change in SG1 is not going to work, it simply will not happen. Please, for all that love this show, bring Daniel back and make him more than wallpaper. He started out as mandatory, now he has a few lines here and there. He and Jack need each other like Hawkeye needed BJ. Please, think about what you are doing to the fans that tune in every episode.
You are letting us down, Sir. Very bad move for infinity. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope to see Daniel very soon.

I have always looked forward to watching StarGate. I have the original movie and the 1st year on DVD and looked forward to seeing episodes on Sci-Fi. I missed seeing Daniel on the new programming and went online to try and find out what was going on in the show. I am very disappointed in your decision to cut back on his part and your encouragement in his leaving. He was an essential part of the show to me.
I teach and have even used some of the ideas/questions presented in the show as discussion points in my science class. Daniel was my favorite character on the StarGate Program. He attracted me because he gave balance to the science aspects presented. He illustrated that knowledge of the past is essential to our future.
PLEASE!!! bring Daniel back to the show. Think about the impact of the Indiana Jones movies. People love seeing the archeologist/adventurer. It just is not as interesting without him. While I have watched stargate for many years I would not be interested in watching it without his presence.

so, try to keep daniel in the show and motivate him to stay. i am talking about subject of matter and character's feature. as a suggestion, something more about his life and work would be useful and Michael, the man and actor would feel much much better.
thanks for taking into consideration.

I wish to add my expression of disappointment to the removal of Daniel Jackson from Stargate SG-1. It would have been a different matter if Michael Shanks had left for other reasons than those that have recently come to light. As an actor, it is understood that the person may wish to move in a different direction and leave amicably from the show. Such a situation is saddening, but understandable. However, by all accounts this is not the same set of circumstances that face Michael Shanks. As Daniel Jackson is one of the two main characters from the original Stargate movie, it is not such an unreasonable request that the character have a significant part to play in the Stargate universe. However, the role of Daniel Jackson was increasingly being pushed to the side, eventually leading to Michael Shank's decision to leave Stargate SG-1. The important thing to realise is that Michael Shanks still is willing to play the role of Daniel Jackson, and I for one support this wish. The Stargate SG-1 universe is much, *much* poorer with his exclusion. Michael Shanks played an extremely likeable and important character in each viewer's mind, and these views are *not* the views of a minority of people. The complete package of Daniel, Jack, Sam and Teal'c is essential to the very lifeblood of Stargate SG-1. Please listen to the many requests of the many fans of this excellent show, and re-instate Daniel Jackson as the second-most important character in Stargate SG-1.

I must say that I am very unhappy with the "new" and "improved" Stargate SG-1. I have tried to watch the new season 6 episodes but without Daniel, the magic appears to be gone. Friday nights used to be my night for television, mainly watching SG-1. I looked forward to seeing what new adventures awaited my favorite character (Daniel). Now, all there is on Friday night is a mediocre version of SG-1 with an imposter trying to replace Daniel. It just doesn't work for me. I love Jack, Sam & Teal'c but it's not the same without the fourth member of the team. Please bring back Michael Shanks with his wonderful protrayal of Dr. Daniel Jackson.

I am sooo in love with Daniel Jackson. I know his character is fictional; But I, whole heartedly, believe that this world, we live in, would be a better place if there were more people here with the same convictions as his. I admire Michael Shanks for giving such a believable portrayal of the Daniel Jackson character. I am sad that Daniel will not be in season 6. He will be greatly missed. But; Mr. Shanks, I know you have a real life. And, in the real world, you did what you felt you had to do. So hey; I'm not mad at you. I am grateful that you stuck around for five seasons. Considering that you once said that get bored easily. So thank you for hanging around as long as you did. It has been a pleasure for us all. For you; I must be happy. (Real World.) Good luck in all your future endeavors.
But for Daniel; I am deeply sadden. And I must find a way to get over it... Oops! We are in the real world. Where it does not matter how I feel or about what I think. So I am through with watching SG1.
Sincerely

What is with the frenetic pace of the background players on your new and fresh episodes? Are you so afraid that we'll notice that there's nothing going on in the foreground--you know, with the ACTORS, PLOT and STORYLINE--that you have a cast of thousands running around in the background, designed to make viewers think that Important Things must be happening?
Guess what? It's not working.
Without Daniel Jackson, I've lost interest. No amount of production shortcuts are going to change my mind. No explosions, no busy background, no smarmy smirking substitute characters. And not the rest of the cast going through the moves with no conviction or passion, either. Nothing.
What will bring me back to your fold is simply--Daniel Jackson. Alive. Functioning. Interacting with his team mates and family. Oh, I'll watch the glowing light Daniel episode, but if you want my support for the show--and, consequently, for ANY MGM/Gekko/Kawoosh productions--I want the character that brought me to the show in the first place.
Daniel. Alive.
Thank you, Jess

Whereas i understand that by removing another wage to pay leaves more in your back pocket and i understand that begging for integrity/consideration/artistic values or even effort on your part is both laughable an unlikely, however, please be aware that your show is watched and enjoyed by thousands DUE to the dynamics of the cast/characters and removing Daniel will be like Sonny and no Cher, Ike and no Tina, you get the idea? Take advice, swallow your pride, we know you were wrong to let one of the most developed characters leave and we will look away if you want to apologise, its never too late to save a good show. If you choose not to, thank you for your previous efforts and bye bye ratings:)

I love the original Stargate movie. I love the first three seasons of the series. I love James Spader. I love Michael Shanks. I would be happy to see *any* Stargate movie played by either actor in which Daniel has the lead role he ought to have. The Stargate story was always Daniel's story and for me it was pointless going on without him. I’d watch a movie which treated the character with respect and where he didn't have to play second fiddle to inferior characters created by inferior writers and played by an inferior actor. I don't care if you make a movie that follows on from the show or one that follows on from the original movie, I just don't want to see Jonas Quinn Thank you for listening, Caitlin DeGrundy Caitlin <wannabe_xena@yahoo.com> Lou Tennenini <LTennenini@aol.com> karen sheridan <robbiefan@cableinet.co.uk> Bring the character of Daniel back to Stargate SG-1! The subtle interplay of humor and philosophy between Daniel and other characters is a rare treasure in current television shows, which mostly lack artful writing and interesting character development. His character is the perfect foil for militaristic and intellectually simplistic Colonel O'Neil, and Michael Shanks is the perfect actor to fill this role. His body language and delivery of his lines is superb for Daniel's purpose on the SG-1 team. Talented writers could easily weave Daniel back into the show and develop him more fully, in a way that the two new characters never could be. Please, please bring the magic of Michael Shanks back to the show! Episodes without him DO NOT sparkle like the TV gems they are when he is in them. Sincerely, Regina M. Zeyzus I have been addicted to your show Stargate SG1 and found it the one occurance where a show could be better then the movie it is based on. But I really dont like your decision to get rid of Daniel Jackson. I dont know why you feel it is a good idea to mess with a working formula. The chemistry of the characters is ideal. They play off
of one another superbly. Furthermore, Daniel is one of the original characters, including O'Neal. He should remain with the program through its life span. You are foolish to believe that his importance to the show is so little that you can just get rid of him. I for one have a hard time
with the idea of him being replaced just like that. Sincely,
Ian Abrams
a dedicated fan of the show Ian Abrams I would like to be brief and to the point in this letter. I have to admit that 'Daniel' character of the SG1 is adding an extra personality to the SG1 team. In simple words as SG1 team can't accept the change of 'Jack O'Neill' as the leader of the team. We fans can't accept the change of
'Daniel' as the historian/archeologist of the team. PS. I hope my words were clear enough even though English
is not my natural language. Best Regards, Evren Yurtesen jeffery s giffin Even though I haven't seen that season yet, I still decided to watch when season six debuted on Sci Fi. I am very disappointed in what I've seen so far. I don't like this new person at all, he's creepy and too ingratiating. I don't trust him at all, and he shouldn't be taking Daniel's place. I'm going to stop watching this season, stick with syndacation, and forget Daniel even left. To me, season six is a non-entity. I wish you hadn't messed things up-- seasons one, two and most of three were excellent. I'm sorry someone lost the vision. Maria Zachovay <Private> The episodes so far this season have been boring, lifeless and full of cliches. I'm hanging on till Abyss airs simply becuase I want to see if Daniel really does make a difference in the show, or if it really is just bad writing. I'm sorry to see Stargate degenerate to such boring blandness. The first few seasons were so excellent! John Sage <Sage1966@aol.com> I was so disgusted by the end of "Descent" that I could hardly stand it. Once again, Jonas SuperAlien saves the day. Reading the spoilers over on Gateworld, I can see that this is going to be an ongoing theme for the remainder of the season. I was willing to give you a chance after Michael Shanks left; stars leave shows all the time and that doesn't always spell doom. Unfortunately, in this case, doom is spelled J O N A S. If you HAD to replace Daniel, why do it with someone who is a very poor clone of the original? If you could spend the time developing this new idiot, why couldn't you spend the time developing decent storylines for Daniel WITH the rest of the team? I can't stand Jonas. I don't care to watch the rest of the series, or the movie, and if he's the one who is going to be in your spin-off... Forget it. There's something missing in the show now that Daniel is no longer part of it. I don't know what it is, but Jonas simply makes it worse. Donna Miles The show will not be the same without him. The chemistry between him and Jack is delightful to watch and gives the show its comic relief. I can't believe the decision to get rid of him and that MGM did not consider the effect that it would have on SG1 fans. Please reinstate Michael to the show even just as a secondary character. It would be better than nothing! Jennifer Sharpe Jenna <mail4jenna@yahoo.com> I used to be an avid fan of the show Stargate SG-1 but when Michael Shanks leaves the show (we are behind in episodes in Australia) I will no longer be watching it. I have been noticing in the last two seasons a real lack of decent storylines concerning my favourite character, Daniel Jackson, and I'm glad I'm not the only one. Sometimes he didn't even appear in an episode which really annoyed me. However what I find really disappointing is the fact that MGM doesn't seem to care. Surely they must realise that
they will lose an enormous portion of their audience. I hope that this letter along with the many others that are being sent will show those in power that Daniel Jackson is and always will be the heart of the show. He was after all the main character in the movie. Sincerely Silvia Jak Josue Cardona I am writing to ask you to please bring back Michael Shanks as Daniel Jackson on Stargate SG-1. I do not have Showtime, so I watch it on our local Channel 2 as well as the repeats on Sunday nights (early Monday mornings). I have not as yet seen the show Meridian which is supposedly
the last SG-1 show with Michael Shanks. All I know is that when I went to watch it on the Sci-Fi Network, I almost fell off the couch! I was in shock! I didn't understand what happened to my gorgeous Michael Shanks!
The four main characters are like the fingers on one hand, next to the thumb, which is me! You took away one of my fingers and replaced it with a plasic finger. Sorry, and nothing personal against your new character (who, by the way, will ALWAYS be from The Shining [to me]) but
nobody, and I mean nobody, can or ever will replace Michael Shanks as Daniel Jackson.
The show without Michael Shanks just isn't Stargate SG-1 any more. It is a copy - a Xerox - but made on an inferior machine. Please return SG-1 to the original show with Michael Shanks as Daniel Jackson on a regular
basis.
Ethel Kehrberger Richard Fague Christie <blaakadel@yahoo.com> K.R. <duma_@hotmail.com> I told my husband during last night's show that it just isn't the same without Daniel - as I would feel about any of the originals not being on the show - and I really didn't care if I watched it anymore or not. The new SG1 member just doesn't replace Daniel. So PLEASE bring back Daniel Jackson - Keep the SG1 crew intact. There is nothing worse than having a show be soooooo good and then changing the characters. Thanks.... The Nelsons Wendy Nelson The departure of "Dr Jackson" will be a loss for the show. The interplay between Jackson and COL O'Neill is too good to give up. Also, to avoid the total military outlook of the show, you need to show some form of scientific endeavor being realized from the Stargate project itself and
which Dr Jackson was able to provide. Please write him back into the show with a larger role. The show will not
be the same without him. Thank you, Karen Burke It isn’t often that I come across a television series like Stargate SG-1, and the chemistry that the crew beings to this show; not to mention the concept of having a network of worm holes throughout the galaxy with the need to acquire technology to defend mankind covertly “Very Cool”. I gear my Friday nights toward SG-1, and this might seem to be a little overboard, but while I am watching Stargate SG-1 I’m not thinking of work, or any of the typical daily stresses of life, ostensibly I’m on vacation. As far as I’m concerned, and it appears that many others feel the same way, Daniel Jackson (Michael Shanks) brings an intrinsically profound value to Stargate SG-1 that cannot be recovered without him. My hope is that since there still appears to be a dialog between MGM and Michael Shanks that some common sense will prevail on the part of MGM. Executive Producer Brad Wright Should keep his mouth shut when it comes to talking to the disenchanted Michael Shanks fans if he hopes to maintain Stargate SG-1 viewer ship. “Brad you’re a great producer, but put a cork in it PLEASE” !!!!!!!!!!
Wayne Martin Kathy <kab1102@aol.com> paula m. salvatore Doike Roseanne Schreuder <Billroe76@aol.com> My family and I watched the movie "Independence Day" on FX last night from 9 to 11 pm instead of Stargate SG-1 on SciFi. To those who watched Stargate SG-1, I am happy for you that you can still enjoy it. We can't. I am looking forward to Abyss and any episodes that have our original team (and the original actors) back together. Sad to not have Stargate SG-1 any longer, Sharyn and family
Sharon <sharyn@shadowmyst.com> John Tender While the Daniel Jackson dismissal is not going to cause me to lose sleep, I do find the way MGM is handling the situation to be *severely* lacking in professional tact. It's sad that the studio looks upon the fanatics of the show as freaks. Is it not desirable to have many adoring fans? To go as far as trying to sabotage the site with fictitious posts is really pathetic - it's not like the fans are your customers right? (Sarcasm intended) It's obvious that a few dickheads at MGM have decided to show how clever and smart they are and will re-tool the show to meet some formula a geek in the basement with a database says will up their ratings a few points. Yes MGM, I know you are reading, your popularity appears to have Titanic inscribed on its bow. Start the bucket brigade now. It's obvious where the new priorities are so rather than watch the slow demise of the show, I will leave now - feeling a little cheated, again. Dan-0 <huitilop@yahoo.com> Bring Daniel back, get the original team back together and give us stories that deal with mythology and other planets, the way Stargate is supposed to be. Suzette Petersen <private> I hope you will reinstate this character in some way; I know it wouldn't be easy or plausible, but I hope it can be done. I like the new character that takes his place, but Dr. Daniel Jackson is really 'one of a kind'. PLEASE, bring him back to us somehow! Kira Pitre, President
InfoMagic Kira Pitre JAMES Karen Howells I have been watching SG1 for some time now on the network reruns since I do not have any of the expanded channels. Daniel is without a doubt my #1 favorite character. This is not really due to any outstanding acting on his part, though he IS an outstanding actor, it is the character itself that is so important. Daniel IS Stargate, without him there would never have been a Stargate, no movie, no series, no franchise. Without Daniel there is no real reason for me to even watch the show. He is what it is all about. I am, at this very moment, watching the first new episode on the Sci-fi channel, and to say I was surprised and shocked at the non-appearance of Daniel is to put it to mildly. Bring him back, I am not and will not be content with "guest appearences" of this character. Once every 5 or 6 episodes just won't do it. Bring him back, full time and with respect or don't bring him back at all and
watch the entire series die. I have no doubt this series will not survive without the heart and soul of it's very existance. Thank you, Tessa R King Jimena Cabrera <foxychick4u@aol.com> 10 minutes ago, I was eagerly awaiting the first episode of the new SG-1 season. Even though I hadn't seen Daniel in the teasers, it did not for a second occur to me that he was not in the series. This show has always been mine and my husband's favorite. We made ourselves comfortable, sat and waited for it to start. Finally the moment came. And then, little by little as the clock ticked on it slowly started dawning on me that Daniel was not going to appear. And then the credits
rolled by and confirmed our worst fears. Daniel is the heart of SG-1. The 4 are a unit, a body working together. How can such a vital part have been so callously cut off and discarded?? I couldn't watch any longer. It showing inside right now and I am missing it
because I just had to log on to the internet and find out where Daniel was, what had happened and whether or not he was coming back. Please, PLEASE give us something to look forward to. Let us know that we can expect to see him, that SG-1 can be made whole again. Right now, I don't feel like watching it. I am so disappointed. Bring Daniel back, we need him, the show needs him. Thank you, Heidi C Wood Bernie & Tracey McClafferty You are going to blow it if you let Michael Shanks and his very well-acted character of Daniel disappear from this wonderful show. We want to see the level-headed humaness come up against the militariness when their ideals collide. You can't have a show with a bunch of military gung-hos shooting up everything first, then asking questions later. We got Showtime specifically to see Stargate. We have recorded every episode, and watch them all the time. We have purchased the DVD's as they become available. We love this show just the way it was. Come on you guys . . . Surely you haven't forgotten how to write good stories . . . Good luck, you're going to need it if you let this central character go. We do not want a replacement for Daniel. Beth Crossley & Octavio Acosta I had always dreamed of seeing a sequel to it but then when the series came out I had to be satisfied with that instead. The series is just barely acceptable now after starting strongly and now I hardly watch it at all. If a movie sequel movie was made I for one would pay to go and see it atleast twice. Thanks for your time now please make the sequel. Scott Kent-Collins Andi Shaffer I was very disappointed to learn of the writing out of the character Daniel Jackson. While I understand that on the surface the story line has eliminated the udefulness of his character, it was his character, both in the original movie and the ensuing series Stargate SG-1 that made the story compelling in the first place. I realize that Richard Dean Anderson is considered a "big star" likewise Kurt Russell was billed first in the movie, this does not negate the fact that James Spader and Michael Shanks were the
central actors that made the story worth watching. Michael Shanks has done an excellent job of portraying Daniel Jackson, and deserves a leading role in the series.
I think most loyal fans of the movie and series would agree that writing him out of the series is a serious mistake. The biggest disappointment is going to be when the series is cancelled because of all the fans you have alienated by
not listening. Please reconsider the current course of the show. Brent Page Pam Richards <pamcrich@aol.com> here, we have just get 'Mearridian' the episode which daniel died..
from a long time ago, a heard about michael shanks departure and now i'm very upset!!!
I can't imaging how the show can go on without him! Bring him back! and now!!!!

I would like to express my opinion that Stargate SG-1 as a television show was made so much more entertaining and involving with Michael Shanks' character Daniel Jackson. I have followed Stargate SG-1 since it's first episode and can't begin to understand why you would kill off such an
integral character to the show. As a fan of your show I'm making an express request that you bring him back. The series isn't the same without one of its core and pivotal characters. With a move like this you alienate those people who are dedicated fans to the show and ruin its overall entertainment value. I realize there is very little chance this letter will even be read, but short of bitch-slapping all of you on the street I don't believe there is much more in my capacity to change your mind. Andrew Wangsanata Jeff Foss Kris Cook <teacher@cookbiology.com> What can I say. Its very unfortunate that this is happening to Stargate SG1 as I feel daniel jackson inspires many of whom watches the program, likewise with the other three people, carter, jack and teilk. I understand that some people need to take time out during their lives and need some time for themselves, yet they do come back so may be in the heart of the people who direct Stargate sg1, maybe reconsider daniel coming back into the series. If however daniel (Micheal) would likely be coming to Glastonbury, England I would like to meet him. There is much I would like to talk to him about. I wish Stargate SG1 a lot of success as I do support you all very much, Yours truly Helen Payne I AM REQUESTING THAT DANIEL JACKSON BE PUT BACK ON STARGATE.
MY FAMILY AND I REALLY ENJOYED HIM IN THE SHOW. HE COMPLETES THE SG-1 TEAM. THANKS, MONICA COTE I am a 32 year old professional in the computer industry and I watch very little television. But one show I have TiVo record religiously is SG-1. Yes, I am a sci-fi fan. But what has made me stay with SG-1 for several years now is the high-quality acting and believability of the characters. The writing and the acting has been extremely good. My favorite actor on the show (and they are all very good) is Mr. Shanks. Despite the fact that Mr. Shanks did not play Daniel Jackson in the original motion picture, to
me, he IS Daniel Jackson. Daniel Jackson's character has seen a marked decrease in his importance to the show from a writing perspective over the last two seasons. Mr. Shanks is an amazing actor and Daniel Jackson is a very interesting character. The fact that the combination of these characteristics couldn't be more effectively utilized is very perplexing to me. I watched the start of season six with the Daniel Jackson replacement character and must confess it left me very cold. It just didn't seem right. Mr. Shanks was the lifeblood of the show -- but unfortunately MGM and the writers of SG-1 failed to realize that. But there is still time to undo the damage and makes things right. And to give fans (you remember, the people that watch the shows and the advertisements aired with those shows?) what they want. Forget about me. Forget about the fans. Do yourself a big favor that will help your bottom
line and your ratings: bring Mr. Shanks and the Daniel Jackson character back. And then do what really should have been done before: give the character a larger role and more Daniel Jackson-centered or co-centered episodes. Certainly much more interesting than the ongoing babble about the NID. Leave that stuff to the X-Files folks. You've got great actors and a great basic storyline that is full of life. Use that. Cameron Bigger I am writing to urge you to bring Michael Shanks back as Dr. Daniel Jackson. My family and I began watching Stargate because of Mr. Shanks' portrayal of Daniel and for the chemistry of all the actors. This group has been one of the best ensembles in television at present, especially
when they're all given equal opportunities to contribute to the storylines, but without Mr. Shanks and his subtle and beautiful portrayal of Daniel, that feeling is lost. I understand that Mr. Shanks' reason for leaving was because of a change in the manner in which the character of Daniel Jackson was often being written. I must say I had also noticed a change in the balance of the ensemble which had decreased my enjoyment of some of the fifth season
episodes. My younger son even asked me, "Mom, why doesn't Daniel do as much as he used to?" My children, my husband, and I have continued to watch the show since the demise of Daniel's character, but the addition of the new character to "replace" Daniel was very unsettling, and it did not seem to be the same "welcome place" to us as before. I do not know if we will continue to watch if Daniel does not return for more than just the "Abyss" episode. Our hopes were high when we understood that "Stargate" was going on for another season, and moving to the SciFi channel. I felt that the science fiction and interpersonal aspects of the show would really be brought to the fore, but the abrupt and seemingly casual severance of Daniel's
character takes all the enjoyment of those possibilities for us. And a new Stargate movie without the charater of Daniel -- the character that made the Stargate work -- would not work for us at all. Please bring back Michael Shanks as Daniel Jackson! Our hopes go out to you in this decision. We truly want to continue to watch the show, but we're finding it too hard without the balance of SG-1. We would appreciate your consideration of the feelings of your loyal viewers. Thank you for your attention, Melanie Phillips I am not privy to the particulars of the disagreements, but it would seem a solution can and should be found that will result in the return of the heart of the show. The character of Daniel Jackson fueled and propelled the original movie. Michael Shanks and the writers have developed that character into a beloved icon representing human morality, intelligence, tolerance, open-mindedness; the heart of the team. The character Dr. Jackson discovered and began stargate travel and should not be tossed aside as unneeded or unimportant. I agree with Michael Shanks that other characters have been given more camera time and development recently and while that is all well and good, a writer should always be imaginative and know there are no bounds; a great storyteller can work with anything. Make it work. Jackson's story did not end in the movie, or with Shari's death, or with meeting the Harsisis, Chifu. His story should continue, his path and character should evolve. I thank you for your time and consideration in this matter and look forward to a creative solution to the disagreements so as to enjoy Michael Shanks/ Daniel Jackson's return to the cast of Stargate SG-1.
