Our friends over at Michael Shanks Online have just announced that their second charity auction (in aid of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada) will launch on June 21st, featuring a host of items from shows such as Stargate SG-1, Stargate: Atlantis, Andromeda, Highlander, Star Trek, Lost, Supernatural, and Smallville.
This year's auction includes exclusive items donated by Michael Shanks and Lexa Doig themselves, as well as many given by generous members of the Stargate SG-1 fandom. Highlights include a shooting script for season 10 opening episode 'Flesh and Blood', featuring Michael's own notes, a copy of the script for 'Watergate' (signed by RDA, Chris Judge, Michael Shanks and Amanda Tapping) and Michael Shanks' own Stargate SG-1 100th episode commemorative pewter photo holder.

"Yeah, it would be fun to come back, for sure. Wouldn't it be nice?" says fan favourite Teryl Rothery (Dr. Janet Fraiser) in an interview with Carole Gordon about her time on Stargate SG-1, a recent experience treading the boards (as reported here) and her part in the Women of Sci Fi calendar.

In the wake of comments made earlier in the year about a potentially-controversial story arc for much-loved Stargate SG-1 character Daniel Jackson, spoilers emerging for season 10 episode 'The Shroud' shed some light on what might happen.

While details are still relatively sparse, sources reveal that at some point during the episode Daniel Jackson will be revealed to have become a Prior. What the eventual outcome of this storyline will be, or indeed how long it will go on for is unclear, but it may be linked to Michael Shanks' already stated plan to appear in only 16 of season 10's 20-episode run. The episode in question is scheduled to air in the latter half of the season so it's unlikely to hit US screens much before February 2007.
"Yes, I'm a bad guy again," says Stargate SG-1 guest star David Palffy (Anubis) of his upcoming role as vampire Fritz in tv show Blade: The Series. The series, due to air from June 28th on aptly-named US cable channel Spike, also features a recurring role for fellow SG-1 guest star Neil Jackson (Khalek), as we reported here in November.

Ever wondered what happens after you win an Oscar?
"I've gone from being in the business of begging people to help me make a film or finance a film to being in a position where people think I can help them get their films made," says Stargate SG-1 guest star and Academy Award-winning director Gavin Hood.

Stargate SG-1 picked up two awards in the 2006 Spacey's, taking 'Favourite TV Ensemble Cast' while Ben Browder also collected 'Favourite New TV Character' for his role in season 9 as Lt. Col. Cameron Mitchell, narrowly snatching the title from co-star Claudia Black, who also proved extremely popular.
Stargate SG-1 also came close to pulling off the trifecta, losing by just 1% of the vote to fellow Sci Fi Channel show Battlestar Galactica in the 'Favourite TV Show' category.

Michael Shanks, who plays Daniel Jackson in SCI FI Channel's original series Stargate SG-1, told SCI FI Wire that the series will play down the potential romance between his character and Claudia Black's Vala as the series kicks off its 10th season this July. Read more here.
