MGM reach out to new Worlds for game?

Hot on the heels of last week's news that the long-awaited Stargate SG-1 video game Stargate SG-1: Alliance was no more - a move that frustrated many fans, since it seemed clear that the game had reached the stage of being playable - MGM announced yesterday that they are working with development company Cheyenne Mountain to take SG-1 related gaming in a new direction.

They say that plans have been in the pipeline since September 2005 to develop an MMORPG, titled Stargate Worlds, though there's no suggestion of a possible release date so far.
