Richard Dean Anderson (best known to fans of Stargate SG-1 as the sarcastic Colonel Jack O'Neill) is among the stars making an appearance in the new season of The Simpsons, says TV website The Futon Critic.
Fans of the show will know that one of Anderson's previous characters, MacGyver, is an object of obsession for two recurring characters in The Simpsons - Marge's sisters Patty and Selma. RDA will, however, play himself in this episode, which sadly is not due to air in the US until late March 2006.
