Both Stargate SG-1 and Stargate: Atlantis caught the eye of the nominations panels for this year's Emmy awards, each show picking up a slot for creative categories - both shows get the nod for Outstanding Special Visual Effects For A Series, SG-1 for the episode 'Reckoning Part 2' and Atlantis for 'Rising'.
Meanwhile, Atlantis also gets an unexpected nomination for Outstanding Main Title Theme, a choice that seems more than a little ironic in a week when it was announced that the title sequences for both shows would be cut down to 10 seconds.
