Spader gets second Emmy shot

James Spader has landed a much-deserved Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for his performance on Boston Legal. Spader's co-star William Shatner also gets another Outstanding Supporting Actor nomination - both will doubtless be hoping for a double success after picking up the awards last year for their performances in the same roles on The Practice.

This year looks like being a tougher contest, as Spader goes toe to toe with Ian McShane (Deadwood), Hugh Laurie (House), Hank Azaria (Huff) and Kiefer Sutherland (24). The winner will be announced August 27th, 2005.
