Gatecon, the fan based Vancouver SciFi convention scheduled July 26-August 1, 2005, has just announced that Amanda Tapping of (Samantha Carter of Stargate SG-1) has had to cancel her special appearance at their convention due to "work commitments."
The Sekhs Party folks who host a party at the convention every year to raise funds for the Candian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation have announced that three actors who have appeared on Stargate SG-1 in the past -- JR Bourne (Martouf), Alexa Zahara (who played numerous roles) and Colin Cunningham (Major Davis) -- have agreed to attend charity luncheons in support of the CCFF this year during the course of the convention. They will be selling tickets for a chance to attend with all proceeds to benefit the CCFF.
