RDA filming plan hits government snag

Plans by Richard Dean Anderson, Stargate SG-1's Jack O'Neill, to be involved in filming birthing seals in the Gulf of St. Lawrence in conjunction with environmental group The Sea Shepherd Conservation Society hit an unexpected snag today, the National Post reported.

The society's vessel, the Farley Mowat, was detained by Transport Canada over concerns it was not environmentally sound, effectively forcing the group to abandon its arrangement to meet Anderson at the birthing grounds and film there.
