Variety UK reports Jason Momoa ("North Shore") is the newest addition to the Sci Fi Channel's "Stargate Atlantis."
He'll play a ground soldier and weapons specialist in the skein, joining stars Joe Flanigan, Torri Higginson, David Hewlett, Rachel Luttrell and Paul McGillion. Brad Wright and Robert Cooper are exec producers of "Atlantis" as well as sister series "Stargate SG-1."
Second-season production begins in Vancouver in March.
