SG and Atlantis feature in Saturn Awards

Tough competition in the 2005 Saturn Awards as nominations were announced today - Stargate SG-1 and Stargate: Atlantis find themselves vying for the Best Syndicated/Cable Television Series award.

Richard Dean Anderson picks up a nomination for Best Actor in a Television Series, despite his limited role in season 8, finding himself up against soon-to-be SG cast member Ben Browder (Farscape: Peacekeeper Wars).

Michael Shanks gets the nod for SG-1 in the Best Supporting Actor category, while his 'Prometheus Unbound' co-star Claudia Black gets a nomination for Best Actress for her appearance in Farscape: Peacekeeper Wars.

The Best Supporting Actress category sees Amanda Tapping up against stiff Stargate-related competition in the form of Torri Higginson (Stargate: Atlantis) and former SG-1 guest star Erica Durance (Smallville)
