Spader overshadowed by Shatner at Globes

In December we reported that James Spader, best known to fans of Stargate SG-1 as the original Daniel Jackson, had been nominated for a Golden Globe award for his performance on Boston Legal.

At the Golden Globes ceremony last night, Spader failed to pick up the Best Actor award, won instead by Ian McShane (Deadwood), while his castmate William Shatner unexpectedly came away with the Supporting Actor award.
