Stargate SG1 Solutions cites an unknown source as revealing that two actors have emerged as front-runners for the role of Stargate SG-1's new commanding general: Oscar and Emmy award winner Louis Gossett Jr. and Golden Globe winner Stacy Keach.
The fates of former generals Hammond (Don S. Davis) and O'Neill (Richard Dean Anderson) remains unknown. There continues to be no word on whether Richard Dean Anderson will return for the ninth season. At last official word, the only confirmed long time cast member for the new season is Michael Shanks.
