Stargate SG-1's own President Hayes, actor William Devane, has landed a plum guest starring role in the upcoming season 4 of 24, even though it's meant a demotion, as Devane will play Jack Bauer's new boss, Secretary of Defense James Heller.
24 returns to US television screens in a two-hour season premiere on January 9 2005.
